What work was carried out last week?

Installing traffic signs to close off the car park on Leeghwatersctstraat.
The 'wellheads' have also been installed. These wells are an important part of the well. It is the upper part of the pit that is just above the ground. The wellhead acts as a connection point between the underground source and the above-ground installations.
In addition, preparations have been made for the construction of a special area where materials can be stored, the so-called "lay-down area".

More work is planned for the next two weeks. In week 21, for example, the derrick and other equipment will be delivered and placed at the drilling location. Furthermore, fencing will be placed around the lay-down area and lighting will be installed. On Friday 26 May, the passage in Leeghwaterstraat will be closed until after the drilling has been completed and signs will be placed for car traffic. To ensure that cyclists and pedestrians can safely deal with the work, a detour will be signposted.

In week 22, a passage will be made from the drilling location to the lay-down area. A construction on the parking garage willl also be placed so that the noise barrier can be installed.
