What work has been carried out recently?
Over the past few months, concrete has been used to create a suitable foundation on which to place the drilling tower, and what is known as the pit basement. This pit basement provides a solid base on which the drilling can take place safely. Next week, the conductor pipes will be installed. These are wide metal pipes that will be placed about 72 metres deep. These pipes will house the well. The pipe will be secured in the ground with cement. A drilling tower about 30 to 50 metres high will then be placed above the conductor in a few months' time.
In addition, a number of other works will be carried out in the next few weeks, such as the installation of sound meters, the procurement station and various preparatory works for the power supply of the procurement station by Stedin. The noise meters will continuously monitor the noise from the works to the surrounding area to ensure no exceedances occur.
