Start of scientific fieldwork

2 December 2020

One part of it is the seismic monitoring network; that is currently being set up. It concerns a network of a total of four seismic monitoring stations, one of which was placed at the end of September at the future location of the plant (see photo). In this way, a baseline measurement of the subsurface can be carried out over a long term, prior to the realization and operation phase.

The research is intended to gain knowledge of the current status of the subsurface and the seismic vibrations. To this end, measuring equipment will be placed at a depth of 200 meters.
