In early October, foundation work reached a key milestone with the successful installation of all screw piles for the new heat pump station. Focus now shifts to the next phase, with concrete pouring and structural steelwork taking place in stages throughout October and November.
The heat pump station will house the facility’s industrial heat pumps. These play a vital role by raising the temperature of the geothermal water before pumping it into the district network. It represents a crucial link in Geothermie Delft’s system, enabling the delivery of sustainable heat to over 5,000 households via the Delft Open Heating Network.
